THE ECOCRAFT TEAM

Eddie first discovered the joys of transforming homes while helping his father remodel his childhood home. He loved their work together and credits his dad with inspiring his later career. As an adult, Eddie became interested in sustainable building and worked with a team to build customized, high-end straw bale homes throughout Colorado and Wyoming. He quickly rose to a supervisory role in the company, and later refined his skills by managing the construction of high-rise condos, commercial use buildings, and hospitals. He enjoyed working with teams to create great results but missed working with homeowners to create their dream spaces.

Eddie moved to Portland in 2008 where he pursued Certificates in Sustainable Building and Permaculture Design. Two years later, determined to support clients of his own, he started EcoCraft, LLC. Eddie is committed to making sustainable building accessible to everyone.

He and his wife make Northeast Portland their home and enjoy the outdoor and culinary adventures available in the PNW. Eddie’s positivity and energy guide the team in all that they create for you!

Growing up on a horse stable in the south, Don was put on repair of the buildings and fences since he was a kid. This sparked a lifelong love of building and construction. With over 25 years of experience in construction, Don started his career in framing and moved up the ranks quickly to learn all carpenter skills including expertise in finish carpentry. He has built homes in Montana with his own company before moving to Oregon. Don offers talent, leadership and problem solving to your project.

Amy Evans has been a part of the EcoCraft team for over 10 years. With a B.S. in Community Health and a M.S. in Communications, she loves to support the outreach, marketing and wellness needs for the employees and customers. Amy has a passion for integrative healthcare, including organic gardening and creating healthy home environments in which families can thrive. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, and time with her family.

LaDawn has worked in construction offices, both commercial and residential, a commercial cleaning office, medical offices, and enjoyed several years as a Special Education teacher.

Amy is a dynamic Interior Designer with 5 years in the design industry. As a Master’s graduate from the Academy of Art University, in Interior Architecture and Design, she has a talent for space planning and a keen eye for color and texture. The desire to create spaces that positively impact individuals’ life experiences are what drives her.

Allison (AJ) is a journey-level carpenter having over seven years’ experience producing high end residential remodeling and over ten years’ experience working on prop and set crews for  Hollywood feature films. She has a natural aptitude for working with her hands. As a cum laude graduate in three-dimensional fine arts, she provides an eye for detail that can take your ideas from vision to fruition.  She brings clear communication, quality control, and a strong work ethic to all projects.

Tony grew up on a farm in Newberg and loved building forts with his friends. At 18 he moved to Seaside to work with his uncle building high end beach front homes and knew right away that he had a talent for carpentry. He has been in the trade ever since. Tony brings a strong work ethic and an exceptional knowledge of carpentry to our team and your project.

Dave was raised in Milwaukie, OR. He has 16 years of experience as a machinist and 4 years as a carpenter. He has raised 3 children who are now grown and has a passion for music performance which has taken him up and down the west coast, east coast, and deep south. He loves to build and has a natural propensity and eye for detail.

With over two decades in the construction industry, Brandon brings extensive expertise across multiple trades to his role as lead carpenter. His broad understanding of construction and remodeling allows him to tackle complex projects with confidence. Known for his quick problem-solving abilities and positive “can-do” attitude, Brandon particularly excels at unique, challenging projects that require creative solutions. When he’s not crafting exceptional work on site, he enjoys spending time with family and friends.
